Australian plus size model in Milan

Everyone have a thought that plus size models doesn�t suit well for the fashion show, but Penelope Benson, 23, became the first Australian plus-size model to grace the catwalks of Milan Fashion Week overnight after walking in designer Elena Miro's show.  The Aussie model said that the industry was lagging behind; it may be true because what opportunities there for overseas models are not there in Australia.  "It was pretty surreal. I didn't even get nervous I just really enjoyed it � all I was thinking was I'm walking in Milan, this is amazing," this was said by Benson to ninemsn.

Elena Miro's spring/summer 2011 was controversial because the plus size fashion designer forced to do her own show after she was excluded from the Milan fashion week�s official program.
