Trendy accessories FW '11

I've talked a lot about fall trends in terms of clothes (here and here), but let's not forget about accessories. After all, the details are often the finishing touch that make an outfit interesting.

Collar necklaces will definitely be a hot trend this fall. I must say, this is one of my favorite
accessories-trends; I'm dying to try it! These are Lanvin (left) and Michael Kors (right) designs.

Short gloves were also common on the runway this year when the FW '11 trends were shown. Normally, I prefer
leather gloves, but out of these two I like the Prada gloves (right) more than the leather Marc Jacobs gloves (left)

And then there's the lace-up boots trend. I actually really like the boots above, but it's just not me. I'm a fan of
people who break out of their comfort zones and try new things though, so maybe I'll by a pair... We'll see - I
might chicken out - I'll let you know. Anyway, these are Christian Dior (left) and Louis Vuitton (right) designs.

Skins (for example reptile prints) are also trendy this fall (keep in mind that they don't need to
be real though). I actually bought a purse similar to the ones above when I was in Copenhagen
a few weeks ago, I really like it. These are Bottega Veneta (left) and Gucci (right) designs.

And stacked heels. Is there anyone who doesn't love this trend? They're beautiful and chic and they're easy
to walk in. It's a win-win! I love love love the Fendi heels (left) - there's even some color blocking going
on there; why not combine two trends, you know?! The Tommy Hilfiger shoes (right) are also very cool.

FW '11 Trend Recap

Time for another fall trends 2011 recap, don't you think? Here's the last one in case you missed it.

Aside from crimson, another hot color this season is Mustard.
These are Givenchy (left) and Jill Sander (right) designs.
And lets not forget about Green. These outfits were
designed by Emilio Pucci (left) and Gucci (right).
Givenchy (left) and Louis Vuitton (right)
Okay, now this is just kinky. It's supposed to be a "strict" trend, but I really just get the feeling of (especially
from the photo to the right) a stripper who's on her way to a bachelor party. And I can't even decide if she looks
more like a stewardess, a police officer or a maid. I'm gonna have to ponder that important question for a while...
Glitter, gilded fabrics and sequins are also hot this fall (I've missed the disco-trend, so I
definitely welcome this). The shoes are Miu Miu and the outfit to the right is Prada. The Prada
outfit really fascinates me; it looks kind of like a pilot with fish-skin. And yet I love it!
Berry. What a lovely color. What's not as lovely is the makeup on that poor girl's
face (right). That foundation or powder or whatever it is is just way to dark for
her skin tone. These designs are Louis Vuitton (left) and Pink Tartan (right).
This is the Wild West Cowgirl trend. I don't like it. It might grow on me, but at the moment I just feel like these
outfits should be worn to maskerades, if even that. And besides, it looks more like a Scottish kilt-trend to me.
These are Dsquared (left) and Moschine Cheap & Chic (right) designs.
I've talked about this graphic, futuristic, geometric-inspired trend before. But I love it, and I love these
outfits, so I simply had to include them. To the left is a Burberry Prorsum outfit and to the right is Herms.

Jimmy Choo FW '11 campaign

Up until now I have loved all the fall campaigns I've come across, but I don't know about this one. Raquel Zimmermann just looks lost (I guess that's the point, but I'm not buying it) and I don't like her shoes. At all. Ben Hill looks sexy as hell though and his shoes are fab.

Reminder of Fall 2011 Trends

These fall 2011 trends were shown earlier this year during New York Fashion Week, and since fall's just around the corner now, I thought I'd post some of my favorite looks.

Crimson was a popular color in many shows during NYFW.
These are Michael Kors (left) and Prabal Gurung (right) designs.

Great lenghts were also common. Here are Carolina
Herrera (left) and Michael Kors (right) designs

To the left is a cape-like coat by DKNY, and to the right is an army inspired
coat
by Vera Wang. Both these types of coats were seen a lot during NYFW.

Mixing patterns was a hot trend last season and it still is.
Here's Preen (left) and Proenza Schouler (right).

Both Diane von Furstenberg (left) and Marc Jacobs (right) had polka dots in their designs.

And then there's the suit-trend. To the left is Fransisco Costa for
Calvin Klein Collection and to the right is Marc by Marc Jacobs.

The luxury trend, which included a lot of faux fur, was also very popular.
These are Diane von Furstenberg (left) and J. Mendel (right) designs.

Material Girl for Macy's

I've said it before and I'm gonna say it again: This fall's fashion campaigns are amazing!

Taylor Momsen has been replaced, and in the Fall 2011 campaign Kelly Osbourne models for Madonna and Lola's brand Material Girl. Below are photos of the ad campaign for Material Girl for Macy's:

It was shot in New York City at Times Square, Chinatown, Soho, West Village and Rockefeller Plaza, among other places. I love this campaign; it's playful, fun, lively, girly, cool - you name it!

Here's a behind-the-scenes photo of Lourdes "Lola" Leon (who btw has become so beautiful), Madonna and Kelly:

Great job, guys!
