British Fashion Awards 2011 - Entire story
2011 British Fashion Awards has now come and gone! It was a huge night on the industry schedule with a whole host of designers, models and celebrities in attendance. Taking out the night's top award was Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, who won the prestigious Designer of the Year Award. The win rounds out an incredible year for Burton, who was charged with the once-in-a-lifetime honor of designing Kate Middleton's royal wedding gown.
Another big award was handed to Victoria Beckham, who beat off Tom Ford, Stella McCartney and Burberry to take home the Best Designer Brand prize which was given to her by Marc Jacobs. Although McCartney didn't go away empty-handed, she was awarded the gong for Red Carpet Award. While Stella Tennant was named Model of the Year and Alexa Chung took out the British Style Award for the second year in a row, go girl!

What to wear when you're at 30�s � a fashion statement.
Have you ever thought about it, what looks stylish and what doesn�t when you cross the 30�s.
I don�t signify there�s something like "rules" but I think there are things that -even if you have a nice body to pull them off, it begin to look kinda when you grow up.

I came across the comments like �long hair looks bad over 30�, but I really don�t think so... It is odd how opinion changes. When you�re 20 you are sure what a 30 something shouldn�t wear, but when you are there you begin to wonder, as you don�t see yourself really different, but everybody�s insight about you really does.
I personally believe in,
�Someone who accepts their age is more appealing than someone who tries to dress younger.�
In a magazine I noted some thing related to this,
Early 30's need not to bother about it so much. But......after the age of 34 (this seems to be THE year where it all starts) you need to actually take a look at yourself. Liz Hurley could pull off what she wore in her early 30's but now she�s 39........she just cant in the way she used to, it looks sort of wannabe young again even though its only a few years difference.
And I finally go with the words of my friend, in fact you may too agree with it,
�You look younger it�s a rather pitiful compliment.
You look great! That�s a great one...� (In the sense of dressing)

Tom Ford's spring/summer 2012 collection
Tom Ford's fashion shows are 'invite only' events, which means it's perfectly feasible that the only names on the guest list are a few stuffed toys whose lack of live-blogging capabilities means the designer has another two months to actually get his collection finished. Obviously that would never happen though, never.
So, two months after fashion week, Tom Ford has debuted his spring summer 2012 collection on Vogue.com. In the best possible way, it's exactly what we expected, which makes all the cloak and dagger business a bit pointless. We've got ultra-lux form-fitting dressed with clinched waists, bondage-esque corsets, satin suits in his trademark purple, which frankly we're surprised Cadburys hasn't tried to trademark.
Talking about the collection, Ford said:
"I want to do classic clothes. I don�t want to do trendy collections that swing around from season to season. I want to do things that will stay in a woman�s wardrobe a long time�quite �forever� pieces. So I�m looking for consistency."
Quite. We think Ford is at his best when he's putting Nicholas Hoult in an angora sweater for A Single Man. Let's hope there's some truth in the rumour that he could be doing an H&M collaboration then.

Squeezing your feet into damaging fashion footwear can prove to be extremely detrimental in the long run.

However Dr Tariq Khan, a consultant podiatrist at a leading hospital in London, has offered some simple techniques and solutions that will allow you to wear your favorite heels without causing long-lasting damage.
If you have a wobble-board, practise for an hour or so in the week before you wear them to strengthen your ankles and reduce the risk of sprains.
Alternatively if you own a pair of MBT-style exercise shoes wear them to and from work.
Don�t overdo it though as Dr Khan says wearing these too often can throw out your posture.
He has suggested that on the night before a party give your feet a spa-style pampering by soaking in warm, salty water and then removing dry skin and massaging with moisturiser.
�Make sure nails are short so they don�t press into the toes in narrow shoes,� said Dr Khan.
Slip into fold-up pumps for the journey home after your party but do make sure they have a sturdy sole.
Once you are back home after the party, soak your feet in salty water for 10 minutes to reduce any swelling or inflammation.

I think it would be their fashion trend for this winter. I don�t know what to call these but I've seen them at many fashion shows so far...Nearly a thick scarf or muff around the neck that more or less looks like it's holding their head up...
This new interpretation of the circle scarves would appear everywhere this winter. And it looks dead luxurious and endulgent! The closest thing to this would be American apparel circle scarf...The fur versions are definitely more eye catching though.
What I adore about a muff is that you can wear them as a neck accessory. There is a fine line between a muff and a short scarf. It all depends on how it is used.

Fashion and beauty are not constant one. They vary on each individual�s vision; a fashion liked by one might not be liked by others. So, here I put my thought,
I actually find models (and people in general) with imperfect teeth, but they really look sexy. It gives them personality and character. I can think of a few models like Lara Stone, Lauren, Hutton, Romina lanaro, Adriana Lima, Louise P and many more. And I think they did not make any measures to make it perfect. They deserves for what they worked. It gives unique identity for them.
And in Japan it is called yaeba. Women are paying dentist to craft their teeth crooked. They take it as a fashion trend. There are few famous fashion models with crooked teeth in Japan.

Well, out of this wedding dress collection, Marchesa's and Monique Lhuillier's, this is definitely my favorite one. All the dresses are pretty incredible, but I love love love number 10. I would totally get married in a white version of that one! (Although I do love the slightly untraditional black color too!)
